Concerning my new and incoming son (mission terminology, don't panic), temple trip, Sets, Thats it!

Kia Ora Whanau!

I got a surprising phone call from the Mission President this past Friday, "Hello Elder Staheli! How are you? Good good. Well, as you probably already know, there are a lot of changes happening in the mission. As such, we would like to extend the invitation to you to train a new missionary. You will remain as district leader in Ngaruawahia. There will be a conference call to let you know more about it, but will you except the call?" Well, I was very shocked to receive this call from President, but I accepted, so I will have my very first son.

So, in case you didn't know, in the mission, your trainer is your dad, the trainee is the son, you can have families, because anyone else that your dad trains is your brother, and so on. So, I will have a son. So, E. Ngalu has a grandson. Lol... This mission lingo is super weird.

We had our semi annual trip to the temple. We had a wonderful time. It's been a while since I've been through the temple, so it was really nice to be able to renew the covenants that you make at the temple. It's just like Sacrament, but better, or something...

Well, Atahua, a previous set, has been picked up, and he is set for baptism on the 6th of April (fitting, since it's the day the church was organized). Hopefully that all works out. Jenelle and Keisha are reset for the 20th of April, and we are hoping they stay that way, because we are not reporting them as set, because they have not shown up to church ever, and we are having trouble staying in contact with them. But they are so very keen. She has a lifestyle that causes her to just get up and go, just like that, and she doesn't have a cell phone, so that makes it all the more difficult. But, if we can get her, she will make a wonderful convert to the church. That will be wonderful. She already has great fellowship from a lot of the members, which is perfect. We just need to get her to church, and then she will be perfect for church. So that's really great. I just hope that she doesn't have any problems. We were meant to take her to the temple this past week, but she never showed. we were super gutted, but then we showed up at her house, and she asked, where were you guys? There was no one there! Turns out she went to a chapel instead of the temple... Oops.. :-) She is going to come this week, and that will really seal the deal for her. The temple always does that.

Well, No more time!

I have to go

1. We are now riding bikes almost every day until about 4pm or 5. We don't have that many K's so we are trying our hardest to conserve K's, but it doesn't seem to be working that well. Lol...

Arohanui,
E. Staheli
