This week has been up and down, but that's missionary work for you!
So, we started out this month with four sets for March. We are now at 0. But we picked back up one of those sets for April. So that's good. Sometimes you just need to push past all of the disappointments that occur on your mission, because discouragement does no one any good. So, we will easily pick back up Jenelle and Keisha. We will have a little bit more trouble with Vernon, because he doesn't want to get married, or something like that. We shall see.
Transfers came around! Well, I am still here for another 6 weeks. With E. Lee! Woohoo! He's my favorite companion. Someone once told me that you don't stay with your favorite companions for more than a transfer. I'm glad that proved untrue for me. I am glad that we have another 6 weeks together. My district is the same size, but we got an E. Christie, from Canada. Sweet as. He's pretty cool.
We have our (hopefully not last for me) last temple trip for the New Zealand Auckland Mission for the rest of existence. Lol... So, that will be really cool. I am really looking forward to it. :-)
This past Saturday, there was the Ngaruawahia Regatta. Well, it was pretty cool. Prior to it, we helped the members of our ward to paint the exteriors of the squash club, because they got really graffiti-ed over. Hard core. So, we saw them as we were crossing the bridge, and we thought, hey! Service! (Helping Hands service, if you know what that is.) So we helped for a total of 6 or 7 minutes. Lol... But we got a cool picture as a group, and I will be getting a copy to email soon. Anywho, when we finished up, we were biking--we have been biking every morning because our K's have been hardcore smashed. Trying to save K's. It's not really working. It's saving us a little bit, but we are really going to be struggling with K's. We have about 200 left for the month. We use about 60 a day. Lol... The Zone Leaders are going to give the Assistants a call, because our K's are ravished. :-)--past the river, and we saw the NGA regatta. There were War Wakas on the river, and they were pretty impressive. Lot's of Maori type shouting. It was cool.
We have had 0 investigators at church the past 2 weeks. No one had a good excuse. So, that's why we have 0 sets for March. Sad day. Oh well, we will get them eventually.
There is a rule that missionaries have that we cannot accept money from members. But, in some missions, you can't not accept it. So, when it is forced upon you, you forward it to the ward missionary fund. So, be aware, if you have ever given money to missionaries, they can't use it. We were given shopping cards by some member in Pak n' Save (the cheapest grocery store in New Zealand). That is cash, so you have to use it, and then come up with the money that you used out of your own funds. So, we have to do that for last week. We were with the Zone leaders, and we were given two of them. The member will receive blessings, becuase the money goes to missionaries, just not in the way that they thought they were giving.
I am pretty much out of things to write about. Sorry! Lol..
No pictures either. I haven't touched my camera in ages. :-)
Khong is maybe back as an investigator! We showed up and he has more questions, so we are answering them and resolving his concerns. He is a lot more friendly this time, and makes jokes not infrequently about tithing. :-)
E. Lee has the most crack-up humor. He just makes me laugh so much. We are in great unity.
Well, I am seriously out of things to write. Lol...
