Kia Ora!
This week was really good. This past week, like I mentioned before, was transfers. Nobody in the entire Zone moved. So, we are all in the Hamilton Mission now. Awesome!
The really "clever" pun in the subject is about this call that we got from the Institute director. He told us that this Malaysian man got ahold of him and asked him to send missionaries over. No address or phone, just an email. Not too helpful. But the Institute director, Bro Wihongi, was able to get us a phone number. After a week of calling and going straight to voicemail, we decided to text. He texted us back the next day and we set up an
appointment. Turns out he's actually not Malaysian. He is Nigerian. Crazy! Well, he, his wife, and their 2 kids all want to be baptised.
He is set for baptism on the 22 of this month, but the rest of the family needs to go back to Malaysia to finish their school. Then they will be back in 2 months. Patrick is his name. Then Joy is the wife. Then Breajo and Tega. They sound nothing like they look. Lol... their names both have some reference to the goodness of God. It was really a miracle to have them get ahold of us. They've been going to church in Malaysia for the past 3 months, and they were being taught by the missionaries there, but never ended up getting baptised, and now they are ready. :-)
Well, we also ran into this part member family, and the mother is really keen to start coming back to church and for her two kids to be baptized. Boom. Miracles left and right! The work is hastening. Very quickly. This month will be the second time that I have done something called baptising weekly (4 in a month.) So, that will be wonderful. I wonder what it is that is making us Qualify for the blessings. But whatever it is, hopefully we keep on
doing it!
The mission split will be happening in less than a Month. Crazy! We'll be having a conference with P. Lekias and S. Lekias to say goodbye. Should be good. Then we are getting a new mission president! Crazy!
We've just had Stake Conference, and after two Moms made sure that every single young lady knew that their sons were Return Missionaries (Check), spoke different languages (Bonus Check), and were looking for
a wife (Check), they gave great talks about the goodness of God. The Stake President talked a lot about helping the Prospective Elders. A lot of Prospective Elders need the support of the member family that they never had. So, as he said, we can be the help for those people. Help that young man or young woman that is less active because they have no familial support. They need it, and you can help them to become wonderful men.
Well, Love you all, I have to go!
Arohanui!
